Words from the journey
Some people have this soft, intentional energy that carries the most incredible gifts. That’s Timmy. There is a softness to her, and at the same time, she is so clear. So spot on. She has a way of seeing and hearing what is happening, sometimes before you’ve even fully found the words for it.
I first met Timmy through a community we both belong to, and from the beginning, our conversations have always had a depth to them. There is something about the way she listens and holds space that allows you to go somewhere real.
When we reconnected in Canada, she hugged me and said, “You don’t have to hold it all.”
It was such a simple sentence, but I remember thinking, she knows. She could feel something that I hadn’t even fully articulated yet.
That led to a conversation with her at a time when I had a lot moving in my life. My energy was high and tired at the same time. There was this urgency in me: things to figure out, decisions to make, new business ventures, things happening with family, and this feeling that I needed to keep moving and get it all done. And I was exhausted.
Timmy saw me there and helped me in that space.
She has this remarkable ability to hold the energy of what is happening while also helping you ground and land inside yourself. I could actually feel my whole system shift as we talked. My nervous system just settled, and I felt lighter. And from that place, something that had felt really complicated and tough became really clear.
By the end of our conversation, I could articulate exactly what I needed to do next, and who I needed to have a conversation with. It was something that had been sitting in my body while I was trying to think my way through all the other things I needed to do.
What I appreciate about Timmy is that she didn’t give me the answer. She helped create the conditions for me to hear what I already knew.
There is something deeply grounding about being with someone who can hold that much without rushing you. That was my experience with Timmy. I came in carrying a lot, and I left feeling lighter and clearer, knowing what I needed to do next.
Inhaaaale and Exhaaaale, peace and love,
